Pakistan’s first ever electric car Nur-E 75 (prototype) unveiled on Independence Day

Pakistan is also in the race to achieve zero carbon emission technology in autos. DICE Foundation (a US based NPO administer by the Pakistani expatriates in US, EU and etc.) has achieved a milestone for Pakistan by unveiling the first ever electric car Nur-E (a prototype) on the 75th Independce Day of Pakistan. The company has a plan to named as "Jaxeri" after a Muslim Scientist.

It will server the great contribution to achieve the goal of zero carbon emission with 100% renewable energy. It is 4 seater hatchback but the company also planed to develop sedan and SUVs with same technology.

According to Chairaman and founder of DICE Foundation Dr. Khursid Qureshi, As it is prototype the mass production will expected to be started in last quarter of 2024. Hw also claimed that the by the time of commercial production, the car will be manufactured 60% locally and with the passage of time the imported material will be certailed to 20% only.

Dr. Qureshi Said

“This electric car will play a phenomenal role in the context of environment and climate change, and will help us move away from non-renewable fuel consumption. This prototype is a 5-seater hatchback, but we also have plans to develop a sedan and small SUV on the same platform,”
